From the 4th to the 7th of June 2023, the Global Public Transport Summit was held in Barcelona. Organised by the UITP (International Association of Public Transport) every two years, this event brought together 350 exhibitors, 150 speakers and 15,000 visitors.
TTK was present on the MobilityLab stand of the Karlsruhe Technology Region alongside our parent companies, PTV and the Karlsruhe tram-train operator (AVG), and local partners such as the Karlsruhe University of Technology (KIT), the ITS solutions provider for transport INIT, and the Fraunhofer Institut specialising in applied science research.
During these 3 intense days, we were able to present our tramway expertise developed in Germany and our BRT expertise developed in France, as well as our recent studies regarding the motorisation conversion strategy for buses in various French and German networks and for trains on certain regional lines in Baden-Württemberg.
The TTK team also had the opportunity to take part in guided tours and meet a number of key players on the issues of transforming vehicle fleets to achieve a carbon-neutral impact, tools to improve the robustness of operations and cyber security in public transport.
Finally, the summit was an opportunity to meet many potential international partners and clients, with whom we would be delighted to work in the future!
