The multimodal interchange at Saint Vincent de Tyrosse (France) is taking shape

Over the last few years, TTK has become a specialist in the design of multimodal interchanges, both in dense urban environments and in more rural areas. TTK is now a recognised and much-awaited Expert, both in upstream studies and in infrastructure and project management.

At Saint Vincent de Tyrosse in the Landes region of France, for example, the complementary nature of the 2 departments Transports and Mobility and Infrastructure has been widely acclaimed, making it possible to bring a project to fruition. The quality of the studies and proposals carried out by the teams since 2020 on the area's medium- and long-term mobility strategies led the client to award the study of the interchange hub linked to the local station. Led by the teams in the Infrastructure department since 2021, not only has this study been fully satisfactory, but TTK's role has continued since 2022 as project management assistant for the project.

Designed to better accommodate the growing number of users (170,000 a year) and to absorb the increase in rail services (from 34 trains a day to around 70 in 10 years' time), the new space at the station is due to be handed over in 2026. Around the regional line, the aim of this "multimodal interchange" is to facilitate access for pedestrians and cyclists, promote bus use and increase parking capacity.

This preliminary design for the future forecourt of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse station was presented to the public on Tuesday 14 November 2023.
