At TTK, our "Research and Capacity Building" division is at the heart of our mission to transform and improve mobility. Our approach is distinguished by a unique Franco-German bicultural expertise, stemming from our affiliation with the tram-train operator in Karlsruhe, Germany, and our solid experience in the transport sector in France.
Our Main Activities
1. Professional Training:
- We offer specialized training for mobility professionals, local stakeholders, and municipalities. Our programs are designed to enhance skills and promote best practices in the sustainable transport sector, drawing on our expertise in tramways, urban public transport networks, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), demand-responsive transport (DRT), and integrated multimodal fare systems.
2. Technical Visits:
- We organize technical field visits in several countries, including France, Germany, and Switzerland. These visits allow participants to share concrete experiences and discover innovative solutions from active modes to urban road and rail transport, as well as to showcase best practices in the integration of urban planning and transport, a key success factor for any new mobility service.
3. International Benchmarks:
- We conduct international benchmarks to compare transport solutions and cultures, particularly between Francophone and German-speaking countries. This comparative analysis allows us to identify best practices and foster knowledge exchange.
4. International Research Projects:
- We are engaged in international research projects, exploring various themes such as alternative motorisation for buses and trains, new mobility services, and urban logistics. Our research helps shape the future of sustainable mobility.
