SYTRAL Mobilités is the only organising authority for mobility in the Lyon area.
It organises and develops regular public transport networks (the TCL, Cars du Rhône and Libellule networks and Optibus PRM transport service), on-demand public transport, school transport services and the express line between Lyon and Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, covering an extended mobility area including 13 local authorities in the Rhône, serving 263 communes with a population of over 1.8 million.
Since 2021, the TTK teams have been happy to support SYTRAL Mobilités on a number of missions:
► Study of the restructuring of the ‘Cars du Rhône’ interurban network as part of the development of a unified network on the scale of SYTRAL Mobilités. The initial results of this study were implemented in September-October 2023 and January 2024, with in particular a reorganisation of regular routes in connection with the extension of Metro B to Saint-Genis-Laval and the reinforcement of routes serving the North and East territories. A second phase of deployment is scheduled for September 2024.
► Studies on the restructuring of the urban surface network around the dedicated-lane public transport projects: T6 Nord, T9, T10, BHNS and the Ligne de l'Est Lyonnais, for the various timeframes for these projects to be brought into service;
► Studies into the development of new transport services: High Service Level Coaches, PRM transport and transport on demand;
► Support for SYTRAL Mobilités in formalising internal processes and methods for improving transport services.
In the course of these various studies, TTK was able to contribute its expertise in a strategic way:
