TTK, in partnership with ARX-PINI Peru, is conducting preliminary studies for two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects in the cities of Piura and Huamanga. This mission, carried out for the Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Construction, is financed by the German development bank KfW.

The work focuses mainly on the initial phases of the project: analysis of infrastructure scenarios, multi-criteria comparison and recommendations for the future operating system. In this context, Andreana Höppner and Marc Perez took part in an on-site mission from 24 November to 4 December alongside local ARX-PINI teams and representatives of the Ministry.

These visits and meetings with the municipalities enriched the exchanges, allowed the initial assumptions to be tested in the field and refined the proposed network scenarios.
The presentation of the multi-criteria assessment of the best infrastructure scenarios is scheduled for 16 December 2025. The final calibration of the operating project will take place in January 2026.

This is an important step for two major sustainable urban mobility projects in Peru!
